The sky is blue.
There's rhubarb crumble for tea.
The seedlings win places in bigger pots.
Stripes in the baby's knitting take a distinctly subtler turn, while reading matter becomes decidedly featherweight.
puerperium in cream and ecru DK, and A Conspiracy of Friends by Alexander McCall Smith |
We have a Lovey here that could use a little wash and sunshine too, but there is a certain someone who still won't consider it!
ReplyDeleteEcru has become one of my favor colors lately and your puerperium is coming a long nicely.
Have a great yarn along day.
What a nice collection of sunny warm photos, that yarn looks so soft.
ReplyDeleteWhat apt descriptions of your day. Love the lighter weight book description.
ReplyDeleteI just harvested a bunch of rhubarb and gave it away with eggs, the leaves make such lovely compost!
ReplyDeleteSend some of that rhubarb my way! (With or without the crumble...) xx
ReplyDeleteRhubard is my favorite favorite food---I think it should have its own food group!!!
ReplyDeleteI remember those days when I had to sneak my daughters bear into the washer after she was sound asleep. :-) She still has him (she's 12 now) but now I can wash him without having to be sneaky about it. Seeing your rhubarb makes me a little sad. All three of our plants died last year because it was an extremely wet spring and the three we planted this year, didn't make it for some reason either. Can't wait to see more of your knitting...
ReplyDeleteLOVE the cream color :) I find the neutrals so soothing to knit with :)
ReplyDeleteYour rhubarb is wonderful...how did the crumble turn out? I have rhubarb and harvested some of it, but think I can harvest a bit more this week! I like to just chop it up and cook it a little in a pan with a bit of water and sugar to taste and then serve it with yogurt and crepes. ♥
ReplyDeleteOh, but featherweight reading is a favorite here! :) Your baby knit is so soft and delicate looking.
ReplyDeleteRhubarb crumble sounds delicious! Love that subtle combination of ecru and cream. Mmm, sounds like a delicious dessert. Off to eat something sweet now!
ReplyDeleteOh, I see a familiar sight...the puerperium. Love that pattern! I love the color you've chosen as well. Babies look so lovely in cream.
ReplyDeleteRhubarb crumble sounds delicious!
Love the little bunny hung out to dry, too cute!
ReplyDeleteLove seeing Mr FB sunbathing! Whose babygrow? Is that his or is it for the new baby?
ReplyDeleteSo, if you are reading some lightweight stuff, I'm guessing you're not reading the new bookclub one?
I sat down with Steve and a beer an made a start on it. About a quarter of the way through the beer and I had counted about 5 deaths and a rape! A bit scared to keep reading.
FB's infamous babygrow - geez you shoulda smelt the reek off him - definitely overdue a wash! Haven't started the bookgroup book yet, bit nervous to now!!!
DeleteSo loving the sun! My husband just mentioned it is warmer Scotland than Athens or Canary Islands! Digging your dandelion photo. Have a great day :) XOL
ReplyDeleteYay! Although, must be annoying for all those folk taking advantage of the collapsing Greek economy and the £130 package holidays - perhaps there's some sort of karma involved re not taking advantage of poeple when they're down...
